Kristen Corning Bedford

Vice President

As a fifth generation Pacific Northwesterner, Kristen fondly remembers fishing with her dad in Puget Sound, climbing through the brambles behind her grandmother’s family home on Lopez Island and enjoying the views of mountains and seals from beaches and ferries all along the Salish Sea. She is passionate about preserving the unique beauty and importance of this place by tapping into our community heritage and creating opportunities to gather and educate each other about our shared legacy. Kristen has founded and served on the board of several nonprofits, worked with philanthropists of all means to create personal giving plans, and is currently authoring a book on informed, intentional and joyful philanthropy. She lives in West Seattle with her husband, Slade, and their two boys, who enjoy eating mussels, riding bikes and pretending to be the Kratt brothers.
